Purpose & key responsibilities of the role
You will lead and support business team on joint venture projects and large capital projects.
- You will lead and support M&A activities in conjunction with the Strategy/M&A Team and relevant business owners.
- You will support & challenge business & project teams relating to legal risks or implications.
- You will offer legal support regarding claim management, legal disputes, and litigation also coordinating with external lawyers.
- You will plan, lead, organize & control all legal aspects of the negotiation, preparation and review of contracts, alongside relevant business partners.
- You will prepare corporate resolutions for the management board or governing bodies of subsidiaries.
- You will coordinate, improve and monitor the group corporate governance process.
- You will contribute to national and international dispute resolution (court, arbitration, administrative proceedings).
- You will create and improve standard forms and contracts, and provide standard contract templates.
- You will engage and coordinate with external law firms and banks as necessary.
Your ideal profile
- You hold a Master’s degree in Law, have passed the Bar exam, spent some time at a reputable law firm, and have extensive experience in leading negotiations and teams.
- You have a passion for legal contributions to business, with 8+ years of hands-on experience in an international corporation or top law firm, extensive knowledge of corporate law, M&A, large capital projects (EPC/EPCM etc) & financing agreements, and the like.
- You have excellent communication and interpersonal skills and are able to influence key decision makers across all levels.
- You are assertive and confident, with have a hands-on, can-do approach, an intercultural mindset, strong negotiation skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively in a multicultural team.
- You are a fast learner with an open mind and a passion for environmentally responsible manufacturing.
- Professional fluency in German and English as company language, including legal English.
Compensation & flexibility
The annual gross salary for this position, according to the collective agreement in the chemical industry and based on a 38-hour working week, will be at least €78.400.- with a willingness to overpay depending on qualifications and experience. Additionally, you will take part in the Lenzing bonus system. We offer flexible working time and remote working options.
